Saw a French programme on French TV while visiting mum... and discovered this...In plain French VETEMENTS means clothes... On the back of the expensive DHL Tees sold out quickly, a business thinking young man created Vetememes---memes = same... and also started doing well....
So if you are a designer and looking for an interesting company name... it makes you wonder... call me backward... but even though working in the industry and working in Asia the past 7 months, it took travelling to a tiny remote French place to discover this brand... thanks mum...
First to call a clothing company clothes... just because it is French... Vetements... is it how the creative process is rewarded? DHL Tees out of stock going for hundreds of dollars - are now on Amazon as DTF by Outsider for £9.99 .
Vetememes copied the exact same plain black raincoat...as super plain Vetements... ??? Can anyone explain the value in these garments?
